Promueven Plan B del TPP sin EE.UU.
La mayoría de los gobiernos firmantes del TPP pretenden hacerlo avanzar mediante la nueva maniobra de colarlo por detrás de y sin EEUU. El espacio inmediato para los promotores es la reunión de líderes en la Cumbre de Cooperación Económica Asia-Pacífico (APEC) en Lima, Perú 19 y 20 de noviembre.
Tratando de superar el “duelo” por la perdida del promotor principal del TPP, pero a la vez continuar promoviendo el modelo de intereses transnacionales en la región Asia Pacífico, los tecnócratas neoliberales de México y Japón promueven activamente la instrumentación del “Plan B” previsto para enfrentar eventualidades como los resultados electorales de los EEUU.
Prepotentes y sin entender el mensaje político que les deja la derrota del TPP por la movilización y acción de los pueblos, destacadamente las organizaciones de izquierda y progresistas de todos nuestros países, ahora buscan una desesperada salida creyendo que pueden imponerla.
Cuatro meses antes de que ganara Trump, el ex miembro del equipo negociador del TLCAN en Washington, hoy Secretario de Economía de México, Ildefonso Guajardo, declaró que incluso si ganara Trump, existía un Plan B para el TPP.
Guajardo dice que hay un plan B que es continuar con la integración comercial tanto con los países de América Latina como el proceso con Asia. El tema es cómo posicionarnos en el continente asiático, cómo fortalecerse y cómo enfrentar la competencia directa con China, porque lo que es un hecho es que el mundo no se va a detener aún bajo el improbable escenario de que Estados Unidos se saliera del TLCAN, y hasta de la OMC. Mes y medio después, en un panel con los 4 países miembros de la Alianza del Pacífico (AP) en Nueva York, propiciado por SC/COA (los cabilderos hemisféricos del Departamento de Estado) el funcionario mexicano mencionó con más detalle que el había recomendado a los presidentes que la Alianza del Pacífico fuera la alternativa por si el panorama político cambiaba.

Algunos países de la costa este del Oceano Pacífico también pretenden desesperadamente salvar del naufragio al Titanic (TPP), en la reunión de APEC a realizarse en Lima Perú esta tercera semana de noviembre de 2016.
Se ha filtrado alguna información sobre la posición de éstos gobiernos hacia la reunión pero han añadido algunas dudas razonables a la propuesta de Plan B anunciada por el funcionario mexicano.

En el espacio político de Japón, el gobierno del Primer Ministro, S. Abe ha maniobrado, violando la diplomacia parlamentaria, acusan los partidos de oposición; y ha forzado una votación de aprobación del TPP en la Cámara Baja del Congreso (falta la formalidad de la Cámara Alta). El argumento enarbolado, pese a la derrota en EE.UU., ha sido la importancia de que Japón dé el ejemplo de compromiso con un acuerdo tan estratégico.
En esa estrategia quiere difundir el significado del TPP para los 12 países y para el mundo en su próxima gira. Como se sabe, el gobierno de Japón ha apostado demasiado al TPP, no únicamente en su dimensión económica o financiera sino en su estrategia de seguridad y desarrollo explícito de la industria militar, como supuesta salida a la crisis en que se encuentra.
Así que las agudas críticas a la necedad política del PM, no han cesado. Por ejemplo, Yoshihiko Noda, secretario general del Partido Democrático y Ex Primer Ministro de Japón en 2011-2012, dijo:

Otros actores políticos del próximo escenario en Lima Perú.
El Plan B del TPP, como el mismo TPP, se ubican en un escenario complejo de cambio mundial, donde no existen únicamente los deseos y acciones de los gobiernos que los han promovido.
En primer lugar, los movimientos y acciones de las redes sociales y los grupos académicos en los países del TPP, unas más y otras menos, han derrotado al TPP en las urnas y en el Congreso de EE.UU. y en los congresos de otros países han logrado el retraso de su ratificación y en el terreno de la ilegitimidad de los tratados hechos y negociados de espalda y contra los intereses de la opinión pública
La acción de otros gobiernos opositores también son fundamentales.
